A standard appointment at a Flinders Medical Centre are 15 minutes. Procedures, in general, will require a longer appointment. If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make your booking. In general appointments can be obtained within 2 working days.
Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with promptly.
An interpreter may be arranged with prior notice. You must notify the receptionist if your appointment is urgent to be given a priority appointment.
Home calls are available if you are too sick to come to the surgery. Please ring early as home visits are scheduled prior to lunch. Please note that geographical limits do apply.
Although it is always better to discuss any problems face to face with your nurse or doctor you can however contact a nurse or doctor by ringing during surgery hours. Emergency calls will always be put straight through.
All patient details and medical records are strictly confidential.
